How To: Clear User Name From Login Field??

Hi~~

How can I clear my *user name* from the login field? For logging into the *Inworld* part of SL?

I can clear my password but my user name is always there automatically, even if I clear it manually. Would prefer this is not the case.

Can't seem to find a command to do this in preferences or anywhere else I have looked.

Clearing the disk cache or browser cache does not seem to work either.

I'm not aware of a setting for this. However, there are some relevant tags in the settings file (if you're on Windows it'll probably be at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\SecondLife\user_settings\settings.xml where username is your windows username). It contains the following entries:

<!-- Login first name -->
<FirstName value="Hugsy" />

<!-- Login last name -->
<LastName value="Penguin" />

I can't test this now, but my theory is that if you exit SL and then set those values to empty strings, then the next time you login, the first/last name fields will be blank. Unfortunately, you'd have to remember to do this every time.
