I was just sitting there and suddenly my avatar smiled. I have never seen her smile before. She has no smile attachment on,so that's not it.(I doubled checked) Freaked me out. Have I just never noticed this before? Should I be scared?  |

My first week in SL, I was suddenly surrounded by a beautiful blue swirling galaxy. It lasted about 20 seconds and then disappeared. The plot owner said he had no such particle effect and it has never happened to me since. Ghosts in the machine?

It's a mystery of the universe or at least the SL virtual one. My avatar will suddenly smile on her own too. I only know about it when someone else comments on it .My friends all know I rarely remember to put on my AO's and none of those have any smiling ones animations.

I stared at her for about twenty minutes.(Yeah,i know I need a real life,lol...) While she did run her fingers through her hair some more,she never did smile again. I am convinced now, she is posessed.

That's happened to my Av too! She just suddenly gives me this grin out of nowhere...
I thought it was part of the AO but it is random. An illegal smile as John Prine would say..
It's a nice surprise anyway.

I have a sofa, that animates avs sitting on it, changing leg position, stroking hair, but have yet to check if it animates smiling.

If you wear any attachment, like an avatar scanner or radar, that speaks to you, you will typically see these swirls when it speaks.

Every animation when uploaded can be set to trigger a face expression. I'm guessing one of the animations used in the couch has an expression as part of it. It's possible the furniture maker isn't even aware of it.
