XStreet negative linden balance :-)

Today I tried to sell some linden dollars from my XStreet account. The transaction took ages, but I did not push the button more then once though. To my surprise, I managed to get my linden balance over 100K into the red, and a pretty decent US$ balance. Three transactions, instead of one. All 3 transactions have exactly the same time of processing.

Of course I did open a support ticket, and in the meantime one of my homepage renewals failed of course, since the needed 2899 lindens were not available.

The resident question: Did you ever see this before? to me it was pretty weird :) Of course I could simply send linden dollars from my inworld account to my XStreet account but I wonder how they will solve this one. If I were to leave SL, this would be the moment to cash out!

I had a similar thing happen with a Remote Deposit Box. I told the site to deposit L$200 - and it hung. Finally I closed the page, logged into SL and deleted the Deposit Box, and when I looked on XStreet again L$600 had moved from my in-world account to my XStreet account. I honestly don't know if it would have kept going.

Fortunately, I had enough cash to cover it, and all the cash it took from my SL account went into my SXtreet account, so I wasn't out any money, but I opened a support ticket anyway. The response I got was basically (paraphrasing) 'Huh. We don't know. Should be fine now - ticket closed.'

Since then I've always used an ATM at an isolated location in-world.

There was a post on the blogoramas about the XStreet exchange rate getting set to L$1 = $1 USD.

Wish that would happen to me. I have a LOT of $L in my XStreet account.

Well it got straightened out very well, my balance in Lindens and in Dollars are as they should be again. And they did renew my subscription (homepage feature) without billing me for it

Now since I got at concierge level I had 2 support tickets, 1 for a 16 sqm plot that was abandoned and on the edge of my parcel, and this one. Both got solved fast and well. Not that I had complaints in the past, always got good help, but I have a feeling that at concierge level the support is better then normal.

Tristin, cross posting the same complaints in different threads, especially when the threads are not related to your gripes at all, is a sure way to annoy people. It does not help what you want to say at all.

I am not a premium account, I have no loyalty to LL and even less faith in their abilities. But even to me, who actually agrees that there is little to no reason to be premium, you come across rather whiny.

I am guessing a few people are thinking what I am thinking, so I am gonna go ahead and say it. Take it however you like... it is just a comment... wishful thinking... nothing more.

Must be nice to have 100K lindens to cash out.... *sigh*

Hey Rha :-)
Well actually I had no 100K to cash out, the reason I went 100K into the negative was because they did my transaction 3 times. On XStreet this is my first cash-out by the way, I was used to putting money into there for homepage ads, only since 2 months I seem to earn some money there ;)
To be fair though, in-world I cash out regularly. Since I am moving towards mainland, that will happen more too, as they will bill me for US$ 125 + VAT each month

@Tristin: When I had my regular paid account, I was always pleased with the support I got. Simply because I had Live chat for example, support was way better then for a free member. For me being premium always has been worth it. Hardly costs anything (most is payed back in stipends), gave me free tier for a nice backup parcel (for hipposervers and XStreet magic boxes), and as said, the live chat support. The only thing I noticed, is that as soon as you get to concierge level, the support improves.

Totally off-topic, and possibly stepping into a wasp-nest: I think this is quite normal. And I expect estate owners who pay US$ 100K per year get even better support. It is quite normal that the larger the customer, the better support they get. LL is a commercial business after all.
Free members hardly bring any cash in directly, so they get only basic support. Premium members bring in cash by membership plus tier directly paid to LL, so they get premium support. Concierge members bring in cash by membership plus at least 125 per month, so they get better support. Estate owners fork over even more and should get the best support.
Now you could say: I know free members that bring in more cash into SL then most premium members. They rent a homestead or entire sim for example. The keyword here is though: Directly to LL. As soon as you buy your service from an estate owner instead of from LL, the estate owner gets responsible for (a part at least) the support as well.

Okay now I went really wow :-)
Half a year ago I used XStreet to cash out because I thought it would be faster. But since it was my first time through XStreet, it still took a couple of days to get my money.
A few minutes ago I cashed out the dollars I got from my exchange transaction. Took 2 seconds! 2 freakin seconds!

Not true at all. I've had inventory losses fixed 3 times on my Premium account. Something that I could never get done when I was Basic. Add the stipend and 512 tier coverage, it's worth it. I'm no big fan of the way LL handles a lot of things but this is one area in which I have no complaints.

That's true...and Concierge support is even better. I've had very good results with Live Chat.

I am premium pay, tier is at 125.00 and lots lots ...of L in transactions and some business dealings. So I never heard of it :( Kinda pisses me off really not to put too much out there but I am talking Big L transactions constantly.

well dang I have it and never knew? Wish I had just before when I needed them a few days ago...
