Hey all, incase it isn't obvious: I am new to SL. I have spent a couple of days reading newbie tips and tutorials on how to do a lot in SL, so I get the gist of how the whole world works. What has been bothering me latley is the lack of popular locations to socialize at. From my current experience I have just found that most places with more then a few people are either some cyber-sex area or closed communities that do not welcome people like me. =/

So my question to you, the community, is where are current popular places to socialize at? Noob areas, clubs, cities, ect...

I did join a good group called Atlas Club, but nobody seems to hang out there, at least when i am on.

Live music venues are pretty good, and many of the performances are great.

Use search to find a list of clubs, then from the list, pick ones that sound promising and use the "show on map" feature. It'll give you a better idea of what it is and how many people are there. Some may be bot-fests instead of real people, so some TPing around may be in order, but it shouldn't take long to find one you like that is populated.
