Help...how to find a parcel on Zindra?

Hi, everyone.

I've been out of SL for over six months. Now I'm back, and setting my photography studio back up.

I own two mainland parcels; one is my main studio location and the other is in a more sparsely populated sim so I can take photos with adult themes if someone wants them.

I put the second one up for sale right after I bought it, because I learned about Zindra, and thought that would be what I needed.

Now, I've read the help page about migration, but don't have a clue how I'm supposed to go find three parcels to request on the support ticket. I don't see any land for sale on the map, whenever I try to tp over there I get a message that I'm not allowed to access it, and I have no idea what to do next.

I just want an 1120 to put up a second studio and be ready to go back into biz.

Tickets for migration are closed. LL will tell you to wait for the auctions. However, many full sim owners (myself included) are renting shops/parcels in Zindra for people that don't want to wait, or didn't qualify for a swap. Feel free to IM me in world, and we can talk, i also know several other people doing the same thing... all great people i can help find you something

Unfortunately, tickets for swapping to Zindra are closed. Once they finish processing the remaining tickets they will begin to auction off the rest. That might not be until mid August or early September. You may be ble to find a rental somewhere until then.

If you aren't able to TP into Zindra, go into preferences and check to allow to see adult content. (Not inworld, so I am not sure off hand what its under.) You may have to have payment info used if you don't already or adult verify in order to.

You also might not have to move to Zindra. Adult activities behind closed doors shouldn't be affected. But it doesn't give you much flexibility if you want to take outdoor nudes.

I've never taken outdoor nudes. And nothing weird, either..., yet.

So I can probably wait 'till the auctions. If anyone requests something special in the meantime, I would be willing to just rent a parcel for the occasion.

I'd prefer to just buy outright, set it up, and have it when wanted, but I can live without it.

Why not just make a sky box way up for that?

You said you have been out of sl, how long have you been back and is the land adult, you could always contact linden and see if you can get a swop, never any harm contacting them, I have heard it is not actually closed, but they extended the time limit.

I can understand if you WANT a Zindra locale, to experiment with. Makes sense to me.

I just wanted to point out, though, that whether you HAVE to make a Zindra locale is up to how you want to advertise your business. If you want to be able to say, "Star in a pron photo shoot!" then yes, Zindra. If you advertise portraits of all kinds, including intimate poses, then you should be able to do this on mature land inside a building. And, the texture on the inside walls can be transparent, so that to your camera the avatars appear to be outside.
