Being Crafty...without 'Search'

So! I have started this business, and I openned my doors offically Monday (exciting!). It was Monday that I started looking into advertising and whatnot not. Becuase I am renting my office, and don't actually own the land, I can't list my business in 'Search'. Not to mention all landmarks, dispite where they are made, lead to a central location in the Sim.

Stuff I've done:
1. Changed object names in the Wedding Planning 'office' to Searchable stuff...things that will come up in the information of the sim.
2. Made a 'Group' and got some members to join.
3. Added 'Barefoot Brides' to my picks with a landmark (that dispite what I do goes to the 'Welcome Area') and information.

I want people that are interested in my services to:
1. Be able to see Barefoot Brides pop up in 'Search'.
2. To be able to teleport right into the 'office' to get information.

So, I'm considering setting up a few booths in different places around SL with basic info, a logo, and a cross Sims teleporter to get them actually inside the office walls. I could even utilize my free 512 space, buy a spot, and funnel in from there.

Any thoughts on this? Am I making it more complicated than it needs to be? Is there another way to accomplish what I'm seeking that I don't know about?

using your 512 for a search parcel your just going to relay people from is actualy a great idea, and plenty of people do it already.

You could even just trick people by putting up a "we have moved" sign, perminantly. That way people won't wonder why they are being made to go all over the place.

Give landmarks with your products, (don't spam them to everyone that comes in) That way they won't need to go through the process of getting to your store a second time.

Use classifieds too! You can set those to anywhere and they show up in search.

From what you've said, funnelling people from a different 512 would still land them in the fixed central landing spot. You're best bet would be to get the landowner to change that setting so that people can land at the spots where they've tried to TP to. It should not be a problem for the landowner.

Don't forget to create a couple of alt's to join your group,best way of making sure you keep it.
