I'm thinking of getting wireless service for my laptop -- simply to use with Second Life.

Has anyone got recommendations or good/bad experiences with the well-known carriers?

(By the way, I *have* tried searching for this topic, but didn't find anything.)

I hear they launched 4g service in Baltimore. So we should be able to play Second Life on our phones soon. :)

I've got a Sprint Ovation card, as a back up to our satellite/radio system. It works fairly well.

Good point. I should have said.

Any kind of wireless is sketchy at best. A friend of mine uses it and gets cut off at least 20 times an hour. Wait until wireless is all over the place and there's better signal coverage.
