I've rented a shop that I can't rez in, bothers me by emailing me saying I have 5000 prims in it, can't change anything, can't get a refund because the thingy giving me rental info is inside the shop building, and the landlord hasn't been on at all. Can anybody advise me on what to do to get my moneys worth?

Sounds like you need to be added to a group to rez things. Also sounds like the landlord has the box setup wrong and is counting all the group prims not just yours. Is there anyone else to contact in the landlord's profile?

I'm a member of the group, none of the other members have this problem as far as I know, and both owners have been offline for a few days.

Robby, how long has it been? Most people simply can't mind the store 24 hours.
I often refund a day's worth if a customer's time zone is way off mine and they've lost a whole day. Some landlords do, most probably don't.
My rental boxes do the same thing. I've never been able to get them to count prims properly when multiple tenants share a property. I just have to explain that to everyone and be attentive when they want a prim count.

There is a prim counter plugin for the hippo rent boxes that works for counting a single tenant's prim on group land. The boxes alone do not work for group land.(If that is what you are using...)
Eh ignore above I misunderstood... Sorry I couldn't be more help Robby,I'm stumped.:/

You should pay 20000 Linden to get a decent parcel of 4000 metres with 1000 prims. Then you should pay your tier of about 8000 Linden per month. In return you will have an estate owner that is online many hours per day who will assist you to ensure that you are able to do business.
If you want quality and service it costs money, just like in RL you get what you pay for.
