My SL Friends Monitor seems to have stopped working properly. It doesn't update the list automatically anymore. Is it just me or do other users have that problem, too?

Do you mean the Friends Online on this website or the Friends list in SL itself? The website Friends Online list has been very unstable for me for quite awhile now. It will either show me with no friends online...then I can refresh it and it shows friends. Other times it will show friends who signed off like a half hour prior. My Friends list in SL is ok as far as I know.

Dylan, my monitor has not been working correctly either. Seems to have become borked at about the same time that the Friends Online stopped working correctly on here. I had wondered if one was affecting the other, so just stopped using it for now.
Czari, Dylan is talking about the SL Friends Monitor that you can download from SLProfiles.com. It is easier (and quicker) to use to see who is online, without having to log on to this site.

Mine has been flakey, just like the Friends Online web site - and a month or so ago when the web site just didn't work, neither did my monitor. However, today, it actually seems to be working better than the web page -- web page is showing some folks online that I know are not, but the monitor is showing everything correctly -- could just be some dumb lucky coincidence. ======== edited to add: As of 3:50 pm SLT, it actually appears that the Friends Online web site is functioning properly. I have been hitting refresh for quite a few minutes and I'm no longer getting flakey results that change every 10 seconds. That might be why my Friends Monitor started working correctly - it could be completely based upon the same thing as the web page (as I had always thought it was) and it may finally be fixed.

I now retract my last edit. It actually seems that the Friends Online web site is fixed as it seems to be staying current with my inworld Friends list. However, the Friends Monitor now seems to not be picking up on the fact that people are logging on and off. When it first connects, it does properly list who is online, but it isn't removing them from the list after they log off -- even after about 15 minutes. It also isn't adding the new friends when they come online. My understanding was that the monitor was suppose to poll for new info every minute. I also noticed that sometimes when I tried to start it, it took forever to actually connect and give me the Login button, so maybe it is having connection issues and that is what is causing the current glitch. So, no it does not seem that it is actually fixed after all. But the good news is that it does seem like the Friends Online website is finally working properly again.

Actually, I'm having the same problem with Friends Monitor, but the Friends Online website isn't working properly for me either. The Friends list in world seems to be working, although it has its flaky moments.

So everything apparently is still borked and I just got really lucky that I happened to play with it during one of its sane moments -- I think that website is bi-polar. Oh well..... it has been screwed up for weeks now, so I'm used to that.

You are very welcome Czari. Unfortunately, like LittleMe, I jumped the gun last night as mine seemed to finally be working again. Not!! It still continued to show people logged in that were not, so I have given up on even using it for now. When it DOES work, it is very handy to have.
