its been days now, i can barely walk and when i do walk i cant stop. my music goes in and out. this is just crazy. is this a Major thing in SL right now because i have never had this problem this bad before

Some sort of authentication and communication issues I'd guess. Some people are having no problems, some are intermittent and some are having desperate problems.

I don't know if these suggestions will help that much or not, but they can't hurt. Be sure to clear Cache often and go into your pc and check all your anti-virus and anything else you have to make sure your system isn't getting slowed down by something. Are your difficulties in just your home sim or most places? I have heard that a sim can get serious lag from rogue scripts. In which case, you might want to notify the landowner so they can contact the appropriate help and get any rogue scripts removed. And lets face it, some sims are pushing the limits of available prims and running scripts. I hope things get better for you soon.

You may have an problem with your internet connection instead of or in addittion to a problem with SL.

I would suggest turning off your computer, router, modem, etc., the whole thing, wait a minute or two, then turn them back on.

If that doesn't fix it I'd start doing a trace on the connect - you can start with the trace route (tracert?) program that comes with Windows or you can get a free program like winmtr or Visual Route Light.

SL is having troubles now, but they might be in addition to the problems you've been having.

Oh yeah, wired or wireless?
