Camera Pivots on Avatar or Grass Only

Someday I'll actually have an answer for somebody on this forum, but for now, I'm all questions.

I've installed a new graphics card and now my camera (when you hold down the ALT key) only pivots and zooms properly when you focus on an avatar OR on the ground. If you focus on any type of prim, it won't zoom in fully and its rotation around the object is all crazy by sliding to one side or another and picking another rotation center.

I THINK this is related to more incompatibility problems with a Radion X1550, but it might be me being stupid.

If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I can't build anything with this problem because I can't zoom in on prims correctly. :( HELP!

I saw this once with my previous graphics card (A Radeon, but I can't remember which).
Following advice I got new graphics drivers, then played around with the sl graphics prefs. Turning everthing off or to a minimum it began to behave properly (but looked terrible), with some trial and error I did get it to work acceptably in the end, but strangely even when I went back to the original settings the fault never returned. My money is on the graphics drivers.

Make sure you wiped all the old drivers when you replaced the card. Some of those little buggers hang around. There are a couple free utilities out there that help. I can't remember the name of the one I use off the top of my head, but tell me if you need it and I'll look it up.
