Standard time frame to have a help ticket looked at?

I'm experiencing "technical difficulties" with SL in-world login....(namely being told that I have to wait until "x" time before I can attempt to log in again....which keeps changing. I've submitted a help ticket, but it's now been over 6 hours, and it still says new.

I'm wondering how long it usually takes for LL to assign someone to a help ticket? Should I not bother coming back for a couple of days, or is there a chance I might have a solution when I wake up tomorrow? Thanks in advance.

You are showing as online so you are probably ghosted. A sim restart will fix that - you can request a restart of a mainland sim through a ticket, or the sim owner in the case of an island.

I logged out from a mainland sim. Freebie heaven at Sooseunhwa, to be exact. I sent in a ticket to let them know my problem, but it's had New (Ticket has not been addressed yet.) listed since I put it in at 5:07pm SLT. >.>

I was just wondering how much longer I might have to wait until someone gets around to looking at it.

I hope someone attends to it soon, but at the very worst there's a rolling restart next week. I'm sure it will be taken care of by then, though. I'll go try to IM you and pay you a linden just in case that will jar you free, although that never seems to work these days.

In my experience, the quickest was hours :), the longest was days? I recently had to resubmit a ticket only to find my new one just a few minutes later was numbered over 200 higher, meaning they get thousands an hour, so I'm afraid the only answer is "it depends"? (The "hours" response was the most recent one, so it might be faster than it used to be? :cool: )

Try to open a chat ticket maybe? But on the other hand, LL probably is closed at the moment. Do they do 24 hour support?

Usually they open your ticket fairly quickly, even if they don't address it right away, it will have an 'in progress' tag on it. So I think you are just out of luck till they open for business. It is currently about 1 am in Cali.

Thanks for letting me know.....I think I probably had the short end of it, and submitted the ticket right near closing. Maybe it'll be fixed when I wake up in the morning....*prays*

doesn't sending someone an IM when they are ghosted log them out? Think I remember hearing that somewhere. I will log in and try to send an IM, hope it helps.

Edit: And it still says my ticket has yet to be addressed. I'll come back in a few hours.

Have you tried Live Chat?? They can generally facilitate a sim restart in five minutes or less. Good luck!

Yep...you can do it from the SL webpage. You have to log on to the WEBSITE, but I'm assuming the OP can do that since they were able to post here.

i put in help tickets and a year later i got an auto response asking if they were still a problem and to make a new help ticket.
thats is when i gave up on any help from SL

Have you checked your email for any response from LL yet? Did you submit the ticket under the right status? Basic accounts must use the "Special Questions - Basic Account or Guest Login" ticket type or their ticket will be unread/ignored.

Open another ticket.

I was stuck in logout all yesterday. All of my tickets were looked at and resolved, eventually. I was able to get in last night. LL then reopened my issue in the early AM (while I was offline) and took Dooms out bug hunting. I got her back this morning. :)

There's a special ticket type for basic accounts? Jeez....like this will make me more likely to want to buy up to premium once my next paycheck comes in....

I asked in Mental Mentors and got a suggestion that would apply to Basics with ghosted avs on the mainland - find a Premium who owns land on that sim and get them to help, they can file a ticket for "have ghosted av in such and such region, need restart", or they can do the same on Live Help.

Yes, a different ticket type for the lowly. My first ticket was rejected outright, via email. But, the second one was looked at (marked: Work In Progress) within an hour or so. It just took a lot longer to get me back in again.

Lowly...heh.

This is the first game I've played that separates the help issues like this. The less helpful LL is while I'm still deciding whether to become a more permanent player, the less likely it is that I'll still want to go premium on payday....-.-

Edit: asking a premium user for help worked. I am now logged in. Thanks for the advice, guys.
