Something positive about LL

I had one of my Estate managers turn auto-return on and it returned all of the non-group objects to the people who rezzed their crap without their tag on.

I submitted a ticket to have the region rolled back to earlier this morning and 25 minutes later . . . viola!

I am TOTALLY impressed. While I'm sure it's not rocket science to do it, just the short time for them to do it was impressive.

I read so many negatives about SL that I thought it might be good to hear something positive for a change!

ENJOY your SL!

PD

P.S. Thank you Izzy Linden! You are the best!

Concierge support is excellent, they've nearly always dealt with any issues I have promptly and efficiently.

Not in the forums or the blog :-) but yes, I have had nothing but pleasant experiences in SL.

My regular old, non-concierge self put in one for parcel encroachment and it was fixed within the hour. Almost makes me wonder if some of the people who don't get good service cop attitudes or are generally being asshats in the tickets/live chat.

I'm going to pile on and say that the people in the concierge chat are always helpful and efficient and they're definitely well versed in SL in general.

Further just look at the progress made in SL itself. A few short months ago the whole grid fell over if we hit 40000 concurrency and now we're up to 70000 and things are mostly OK.

And don't forget how they eliminated those weekly upgrades that shut the whole grid down for a whole day.

Maybe the economy isn't experiencing the explosive growth we were getting last year but there's a ton of other positives about SL. I'm pretty pleased with how things are going.

I too have had generally good service from live chat. Some time back a few tickets took a while to be answered, but lately that has been better too.

I even had one of the G-team turn up in response to a recent Ad Farm AR whilst I was still there taking snapshots...

I personally think LL do a very good job, yes sure when under load the grid can be slow and a bit unreliable, but I think none of us appreciate how complex SL must be to run, or the thousands of issues they must have to deal with day in, day out.

I recently had an issue that effected thousands of anims I made, I was told by a Linden to open a JIRA issue, I have to confess I was thinking "ya right, like thats going to do any good", they contacted me and CG Linden fixed it within the week.

We are often to quick to focus on the bad and forget the good

On the few times i have had to use concierge chat they have always been very helpful. Also CS and Support have always sorted any problems i have had in the past. Maybe ive had to wait a bit for help but its always been resolved.

I think a lot of people forget this is a fast growing user base and some things will take time as the company (LL) restructures itself to cope with demand.

But all in all i have had good experiences with them, but maybe just keeping clam and rational when calling LL helps a bit as well ;)

Yep live chats been great.
As a Landlord I dread when I find I've left Autoreturn off, I usually check who has objects on it and then IM them to check their objects are set to group well before I actually turn it back on.

On the occasions I've needed to use support, LL have been helpful and action has been taken. The instances I can think of were 'sim down' and a huge griefing build left on neighbouring vacant land that overlapped my property, despite it being no-build and no object entry!

Yep threads like this are like gold dust. I read page one and was sure that there would be negativity on page 2, but nope....positivity, kind words, appreciation.... no negativity in sight!

And, yep, concierge rock IMHO.

I filed a ticket at 6:12 SLT this morning and it was closed less than 20 minutes later. Though mine was a very minor problem, I had fully expected to have to wait at least a few hours for it to be resolved.

Thanks Chiyo Linden!
