in my profile, under the 1st life tab, i've uploaded a picture of my RL self. My uploaded picture is stretched wide in my profile, thus leaving me utterly wide and well, large looking. How can i fix this?

you have to rescale the pic to the right proportion...
perhaps put a border on the sides. maybe.
anyone have the exact proportion?

The Second Life pic is 4:3, 1st is 1:1. So take your original RL pic back into your photo editor, and crop a perfectly square section of it to be used in your 1st life tab and it should not stretch or re proportion.
