I still run 1.19 and since the last rolling restart, I have noticed that unless I am within 5m of an avatar, they are pixelated.

Is there any way to make them go soft around the edges again? !

Thanks in advance.

Yes, in preferences and under graphics, untick the box Avatar Imposters :)

yups, its under preferences/graphics, mark the advanced box the see the advanced settings and on left near bottom you will see "avatar imposters", just unselect that and no more pixilated people.

As to why it changed, on update the viewer sometime auto-detects your settings for "best" preformance, but sometimes seems to gets it wrong. For me last time it chose my settings, it decided to turn off texture animations, so I had no flowing water etc, silly thing.

I end up always un-checking the Avatar Imposters option. When it is on, I have had avatars within arms reach of me unxepectedly pixelating, while others further away looked just fine. The feature is *supposed* to only do that to far-away avatars, but it has never worked well for me.
