I usually clear my cache just before I go shopping because I know I must anyway after the textures in just one store load. This time I noticed the viewer didn't nag me that the cache will be cleared next time I log in.
Has this changed? Does it clear immediately now? If so this would cut down on a lot of logging off and back on.
I only just noticed this and I haven't downloaded the latest release yet.

Just checked. I use the RC and it still tells me my 'cache will be cleared next time I log on'...

I have noticed a time or two where I KNOW I cleared my cache before I logged off......and it didn't seem to bahave as tho it had been cleared when I re-logged. Usually it takes a bit more time to load up the log-in screen.....and then once in-world the inventory will take a few moments to load (it's best to open inventory and keep it open until it loads......also helps to type a few words as it's loading because it will speed it up)
But...every so often......it seems as if the 'clear cache' didn't actually clear cache the way it's supposed to. It isn't just the newer client.....I've noticed this little glitch for months now....with ever version I've used. Right now I use the latest RC version.

Actually - false alarm. I was trying to clear the cache on the WEB tab of preferences. No wonder it didn't seem to do anything. I'll keep this in mind for the future.
