Traffic?

I opened one small shop in one place with big traffic. Now it's 24787. I thinked, that the big traffic mean more people around. But what's my surprise to see that for 8 hours (I am at work and only look from time to time the SL Viewer) at the store was only 7 people. 5 of them was all the day, the others only half. There is not camp, and they are not campers, maybe owners of shops. I stayed in the place and nobody comes.
I can't understand this with the traffic. How then this 24787 traffic is done? Do someone can explain me?:)

You opened a shop in a place that has lots of campers somewhere on the land. Use your minimap and look for a lot of green dots/chevrons. It's not real traffic.

That kind of traffic figure normally means around 15+ AV's during 24 hrs if they are campers.

The traffic reading of 24.7k would be from the day before.....not today. Does the Mall have a nightclub attached to it?
No stand-alone Mall in SL would ever get pure 25k shopping traffic on any given day....that kind of figure can only be generated either via camping, an event lasting hours (Fashion show maybe), closing down sale of a mainshop or a nightclub with numerous events held throughout the day.

Pure shopping traffic for the vast majority of malls in SL lies somewhere between 100 to 6000 on traffic counts.....anything in excess to that figure is generated via another event taking place.

PS I'm not talking about Main Shops.....but shopping Malls. Some of the best shopping Mall spaces to rent are the ones that have a popular Designer's' main shop closeby. From experience they always tend to do well as you gain traffic/sales spinning off from the popularity of the Main Shop present there.

Camps don't bring shoppers. Maybe i must find place only with shops, where people come searching for something to buy.

They are not mine, i just affiliate, but without success. 4 shops with Wrong clothes, spended about 4000 L, and my win till this moment is only 50L$ :)
If I can find good affiliate, maybe will be better :)
