Not sure how or where to go to do this. I want to pay for a year memebership for a friend and have heard that it's possible to do so just need a shove in the right direction lol.

I must admit I can't see anything on the membership plan pages... assuming there isn't a way to do it and if you're sure your friend's not going to run off with the money, the easiest answer seems to be to just give them the $72....

He tried to do that but he doesn't have payment info onfile at the moment so it won't let him, his membership that he does have right now is going to expire in three days. His membership was gifted to him but that person isn't in sl anymore so I can't ask him how he did it.

Hi Tara, I looked all through the Knowledge Base just now and couldn't find it. One question: Does your friend own land? If not, he doesn't NEED to have a paid membership. He can downgrade his membership to Basic and won't be penalized in any way. If he DOES own land, then yes, he will need to pay for his membership. Can you send money to him via PayPal? I would do that; send him $ to his PayPal account so that he can pay himself. Otherwise, I can't find any info about gifting an account. I'm sure it can be done, but can't find where.

You used to be able to "gift" someone a prepaid premium membership, but LL discontinued that long ago.
