Hm, I have been wondering about this myself, as I don't really see a need for other using this computer being able to see my SL identity merely by opening the login screen. Or, for that matter, seeing the pic that was saved at the last location I logged out simply by choosing "login at last location" and hit login - without entering a pw.

An annoying workaround -- after logging out, restart SL and on the login page, enter random stuff for the first and last name and hit 'connect'. After you get the login error, simply close the SL client -- it will now remember that name and show it when you next start the viewer.
Yes, this is totally a PITA

Well you could make a batch file that starts SL and then removes your profile directory from the application data saved on your computer. Here's an example though it may contain things you don't need. But basically it's a batch file that launches SL and when you exit it deletes your application data. http://gaming.psu.edu/SLOnAFlashDriveYou won't see your name listed in the login but SL will always behave as if you just installed SL and you will get all those annoying popups that tell you how to play the game.
