I've been wondering, as the 15th was/is my rez day (depending on where you live, it might still be the 15th), are there *any* traditions as to what people do? Do you treat it like an ersatz birthday? Parties and prezzies? Am I a bad girl because I totally forgot about it until this morning and then it was too late to organise a party or anything? (I don't do birthday parties in RL either...)
Was it a stupid idea to enter SL on February 15, when everybody had just finished dealing with Valentine's Day?
So how significant *is* the rez day to people?

For the regulars at NCI, they put up a poster with pictures and a "Happy Rez Day" message. (^_^) *Looks at noobie pictures and shutters at the idea a year from now.* (^_^)

Happy Rezday! Yesterday was mine - shows you how little regard I have for Valentine's Day. I forgot about mine until yesterday morning. I celebrated by AR-ing some adfarms, and then I had to get back to my Real Life activities.

Heh, thanks everyone- I didn't post this thread to collect rez day wishes, in fact, they kind of make me embarrassed, just like RL birthday wishes....dunno, I blush and I'm flustered and don't know what to say. *shuffles feet*
But I still *like* them, of course!  I just thought I might have missed some grand old traditions here. In RL, I have a tendency to miss any and all of those nice "get something free on your birthday" offers as well. @Puppet: Hey, the whole Grid kinda gave prezzies to you on the 14th! I got to go AR some adfarms now, too- THAT would be a cool new rez day tradition! *takes mental note to surprise Bradley in April* _____________________

I don't know of any particular tradition. I treat rez days the way I treat rl birthdays... with a party!

I've been pondering this myself, as my 2nd rez day is next week. I did't really do much for it last year, aside from take a funny picture. No real plans for ths year, either. In my SL family, we've done more with RL birthdays

it is just another day in SL
I do not do rez day parties and usually do not attend them either much the same as RL b/d parties, do not do or attend those if I can help it ( I turned 43 last year, and the inlaws (new inlaws as I just got married last year too) had a combined b/d party (for me and father in law) it was my first ever b/d party that I can recall (did not have any as a kid) *shrug* I felt much like it was his party, not our party hehe _____________________
