With the announcement of the new road project, and my property abutting one of the proposed routes, I dread the coming traffic, griefing, noise and billboards. Will the land become more valuable to advertisers? Will the gorgeous water location no longer be attractive to settlers? Should I slice it up to create gas stations, ad farms, and rest stops?

Does LL even understand the transportation system of SL?

/me gets in line to buy an island and leave the mainland forever.

Rocky, I think you're very severely overestimating the impact of the roads. There are roads all over the old mainland and hardly anyone ever uses them.

The mainland's an interesting place, in a Wild West sort of way. I might never have moved off if it weren't for butthole neighbors putting up banlines around 512m lots they never used.

Roads are the future, one day all of SL will be a highway, there will be no static homes or shops, they will come to you or your home will fly to them.
