but I can't find a straight answer anywhere. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, who knows...

Such a noob-y question, but how do I copy/paste text in/on SL?

*sigh of relief*

Now that I've asked the embarassing question, HELP!!!!
My mind will implode if I don't find out soon!

Windows uses ctrl, I think mac uses OPTION key.

Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+V to paste. Works in SL just as just about every program ever.

Highlight text.
Copy is Ctrl-C
Paste is Ctrl-V

The commands are also in the edit menu

..and to cut instead of copy, use ctrl-x.

Also, copy/paste (and cut) is almost always in the Edit menu. If you can't remember the keyboard shortcuts, just highlight the text you want (click and drag over the text) then poke around in the Edit menu.
