How long does stuff take?

Hi! I just created an account. I bought the 9.95 premium. It still says I am no payment info on file and I have yet to receive the 1250 Linden allowance.

How long normally before this stuff takes affect?

i never got my 1250...

and, to get your credit limit to rise, you must use your credit card and make some sort of charge, even $1US, and then wait for the days to pass as your limits rise.

if you joined today, in 2 days you should be able to buy some lindens.

in the interim, you can create an SLX account and buy lindens at an ATM machine inworld.

I believe you have to make a small in world purchase to get payment status shown. Buy a couple of dollars worth of Lindens from the Lindex. Your Bonus will take 45 days to be paid, I think.

It's hard to say. However, since you can reach the forums, SL does know that you are "verified" even if it isn't showing up in the profile box. There might be some welcome emails from LL (it's been a long time since my last sign up, so my memory is hazy) and you should be able to check your account status from here on the SL website. Click on the "Community" link at the top of this page and the next screen should have a "My Acccount" link at the top right hand.

Thanks, I bought 2000L and it changed my payment info. Its 45 days for the 1250 though? I guess I missed the fine print!

I went premium in August, and received a $1250 Linden grant just a couple of days ago. I guess that was the premium bonus. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it, if I was you.

300 a week paid on Tuesdays
1200 after 45 days paid on the Tuesday after this time has passed.
I got mine on time with no problems. Your milage may vary ^.^

What is LL's excuse for such foot-dragging? Does their reputation matter that little to them?

That's a rheterical question Maybe it's because the TAO makes it so no one has to do those things.

good job in buying the lindens as soon as you join.

I recommend that to everyone starting out. That way you can start some shopping and not spend time time trying to scrape lindens up in world by doing odd jobs.

lose that default linden skin, buy some decent clothes

go out and start exploring SL

Probably processing a backlog after the holiday period. God alone knows I had enough things to sort out when I got back to work (aka hundreds of mails and we don't have anything like the numbers SL does).

Hi Tina, no, it won't be forever. LL is just trying to prevent credit card theft/fraud. Just give it a few days, and your L$ purchase limit will go up.

You can also buy L$ on www.slexchange.com. Do NOT, repeat do NOT ever buy L$ on eBay. And welcome to SL and the forums!
