As I said in another posts you guys much appreciated by me with your help, sure others feel the same. Also nice and kind and gentle, I guess sometimes questions are a bit daft but allways you help, thankyou.
Been thinking about these settings you talk about between you, lots of the time I'm lost following you, but I can see you are improving things for each other.
You talk a lot of what parts your systems have expensive and cheaper, now I think mine is up slightly from the very basic PCs on sale in UK, it is in the £350 to £399 range, box only.
Now I going to ask a question to which there could be many views and answers. What I would like is a sort of straight forward simple dummies answer to what setting to alter, and to what without a lot of messing from those given now to me as defaults in WindLight download.
Basically I want my SL to run well with a good picture. But not at the expense of slowing things down to gain little in picture quaulity.
Love June

When you're in-world you can use Help / About Second Life to get a short summary of your puter (if you want to copy/paste it onto the forums the easiest would be to left click in the top part of the window that comes up, then Ctrl-A to select all the text, Ctrl-C to copy the text and then Ctrl-V to paste it here). It's going to be hard for anyone to give you suggestions on what settings would work best for you without an idea of what sort of puter and video card you have .
