I can't get an answer form animation tips so....
I want to put a looped animation in an object for something I'm creating..... what do I need? I'm assuming a certain script, but I have no idea what or where to get it.

Well you can use a poseball. You can put any animation in it. Poseball scripts are available in the scripting library of the forums.
If you need it in an attachment I think you'd have to ask the scripting tips how to do that.

Yeah, we need to know a little bit more about the thing being built. Perhaps most crucial is knowing just what is supposed to trigger the animation, and on whom. If it's something one sits on, then there are various free poseball scripts that should do the trick (also look for Learjeff Innis's free packaging of sit target position-setting scripts, either in Scripting Tips or SLexchange, I think, for easily putting sit-triggered animations in furniture without needing actual poseball prims). An attachment can also trigger animations without explicitly asking the user for permission, but unattached objects in the world (e.g., danceballs) must ask. But it's possible--one could ask every avatar in sensor range to do a little jig. (Well, you could *ask*...  )
