I bought a new hairstyle and now the bottom half of my avatar's face is blurred. At first I thought it was just taking a little while to rez, but it stayed that way permanently.
Is this a common problem with hairstyles?

Is this a common problem with hairstyles? Did the new hair come with a hair base? Maybe swap that hair base out for your old one and just wear the prim hair portion.

Is this a common problem with hairstyles? For me it's a common problem that has nothing to do with the hairstyle, although I suppose it could. Rebaking has always fixed the blurred features for me. Ummm I *think* it's 'Advanced' - Character ' Rebake Textures. Someone will correct if I'm wrong. I have periodic problems with that but doesn't last long. Sometimes even a simple TP to somewhere else will clear it up.

It seems to happen intermitently. At first I assumed it had something to do with my Fangs. Mouth looked blurry all day ..next day back to normal. Just Sl.

Yeah...it's just a texture issue. It has nothing to do with the hair, per say, but if you switch hair bases every time to put on new hair.....your head textures have to bake in and you might get that blur. But.....you don't need to use every hair base. I haven't changed my hair base in ages.....and I switch hairstyles all the time. The rebake should help speed up the process if you have a continued problem.....ctrl/alt/D brings up the advanced menu as Treasure stated.....and you select character.....and at the bottom 'rebake textures'. I believe the keyboard shortcut is ctrl/alt/R I think.

go into edit appearance and out again
hit ctrl/alt d and ctrl/alt/r
Relog
If that doesn't work change skins and try again. Sometimes SL just throws up and we don't know why.
