Dance HUD lost with all animations

Does this problems still exist? I lost a HUD again with all my animations. Lots of money and time to make.

I would recommend clearing your Cache and logging into a region that is not busy.. Hopefully it returns. Sl; did some updating to central servers and also a pilot roll for 1.26.3

Well. Did you rez your HUD on the ground and while it was still on the ground selected it and chose WEAR? That was a guaranteed POOF for a Huddles.

I just detached the HUD in a club. Then it was gone. I did NOT drop it.

Nothing brings back the HUD. Clearing caches, relogin, new installing did not help.

I know the Lindens cannot help either if I send a support ticked. I did that once. And they said sorry.

This damn problem is still here and the Lindens should pay everybody the time and money back. But they don't care for people. They cannot fix this old styled forum either.

I hate to ask the basics....but.

Did you use the search feature in your inventory?

Yes, it still exists as you unfortunately found out the hard way. I'm sorry to see anyone else fall victim to this.

Many people who have commented in this JIRA have gotten their stuff back, have a read through to see how they were able to get a "Linden Inventory fix"

I am going to vote there too, but it seems the Lindens just ignore this problem or let me say the fact - they cannot fix it.

And they dont even warn the people.
Same goes for the seller who sell no-copy animations with HUDs.

No wonder why many people loose trust and fun after playing short time.

Maybe the HUD is not no copy. Its the animation inside the HUD that is no copy and that make the HUD no copy

Exactly. The sad thing is, I've made this issue my priority project for a lonnnnng time now. When I first heard about it, voted and started spreading the word, I think there were 16 people on the vote list. It's over 300 now. I've busted tail every place i could think of to alert people (sometimes this really fell on deaf ears, sadly). Everywhere I could possibly spread the word, I have. I did so because LL didn't, nor did any of the major animators. (Oh, but of course, they're the ones who stand to gain more sales). I even bugged Linden staff at their office hours, and religiously plastered it in every (dis)satisfaction survey I've taken through LL's login non avoidable surveys.

I feel extremely fortunate that a heads up from Keiki Lemeiux of HUDDLES was why I avoided any losses so far, but I've much empathy to anyone with a loss.

That is incorrect. They can and do help. My Huddles disappeared a few days ago. I cleared my cache and used an object scanner incase I dropped it on my land—no luck. So I sent a support ticket telling them it was probably in my inventory but it wasn't retrieving it from the database properly.

Well, the next day I had my Huddles back, all safe and sound. The Linden reponsible for the ticket said they ran a process that sometimes fixes that. This has happened on two separate occasions and the Lindens always helped me with it and fixed the problem promptly.

So... it's probably the same deal. Put a ticket in.

I am loathe to take my Huddles off. From so many posts about Huddles going POOF it is like Russian Roulette.

Not just Huddles, and not just HUDs. My Chim did the same (right hip attachment) as did a scripted boot. I'm not sure if it's clear what the risk factor is, but it seems to be items containing 'no copy' scripts or anims. To be sure, follow the advice others have given and don't wear attachments from the floor, take them to inventory and wear from there.

You can request an inventory rebuild from LL. It's fixed the problem for me before, and brought back stuff I never realised was lost. They will probably send the patronising first line support message regardless of what you tell them you've tried ("Have you searched for the item in inventory? In folders where you don't expect it to be? Around your land? Cleared cache & restarted? Sacrificed a black rooster under a full moon?".

Until this BUG is still here there are people:

- who clear the caches
- re-install the software
- spending hours of looking up their inventory
- reading note cards with all the informations you really DO NOT NEED
- scanning SIMS with scan-tools because they THINK they are smart
- looking up the transaction history
- filling out many note cards for customer support
- reading the same bullshit from animators
- filling out support tickets for Lindens
- and so on

It is the worst BUG I know inside SL. It is nothing about lag or beauty of this game/Life.

It is about TIME, MONEY, CARE, TRUST

Two days ago, I lost my Chimera for the THIRD TIME. It's filled with no copy dances (arggh I hate that).

I filed a support ticket. 6 hours later I got a note from a Linden saying they had run a fix-it tool on my inventory and restored the Chim. On logging back in, sure enough, there it was.

What gets me is why such a nasty bug continues to exist??

I just saw an answer that there is a BUG fix with this problem in the new viewer 1.23.x

i'm not sure if this was said already or not..but detaching a huddles with another hud or item can also cause them to disappear at times..

i remember one girl came in here and had lost her huddles that way..it took awhile but i believe it did show up again a couple weeks later..
