After owning land for over 2 years and having invested a substantial amount of time in the development of resources and a user base, suddenly the plug was pulled on the SIM; Daydream Islands. Despite emails and IM's to the service provider I have yet to receive a response. Has anyone else found themselves in this situation? Surely if residents are expected to sign a covenenat with the SIM owner this should be a two way process, that the provider / owner keep all residents fully informed of service. Anyway I'm just hanging out anywhere I can right now and hoping despite the fact that the even though the owners website has also disapered there may be some communication, even if only to say Goodbye.

It does happen fairly often. The convenants are a one way contract and not really a contract. That is more a set of rules that can change at the owners whim. Even with a covenant the sim owner can eject you for any or no reason at all.
That being said, there are many very good and reputable landlords in sl. Most will give you notice if they are getting rid of a sim. Good luck in finding a new place.

if it was an open sim sim, then they probably just gave it up to LL so they wouldn't have to pay the super high premiums coming next month.

regards Virtual Rolling Stone You were renting from a 3rd party, not owning, rent from LL next time or someone reputable who cares for their customer base.
