I have a nice snow plot in one sim, it's one of my few places very inland.
I'm having a problem w/ a club in the sim next over shouting.
Everything shouts, they shout, their club objects shout, their member vendors' "books" profiles shout, hell they even shout what is being said in voice to the nonvoice users, their vips shout and their DJ shouts, their typed /commands even show into their sim, my sim and into another 3rd adjacent sim.
I don't know them, don't care, don't care they have a club or what kind it is, it's in the next sim over, so who cares right? ...*ugh* but the shouting readable in text is getting annoying. *Mute mute mute* ...wait and more *mute*.
I talked to Live chat, who said firstly this wasn't tech possible, then recanted that, they said go talk to the owner, then AR. I submitted a support ticket, they said AR them.
My problem is I don't want to talk to them, "Hey hi everything you own, got for your club is shouting and you all shout, could you stop and hey replace or change all those shouting things, bea pal a good neighbor, yah I know shouldn't be possible, diff sims, but LL said it can happen, you either have scripted things meant to travel across sims to generate traffic or eh it's just a thing, stray shouting, so ya could you stop? Fix all that stuff? and let up on that /shout button? yah? hey great, good luck w/ your club!'
...uh yah ..No ida see that happening...
I feel like it's a technical issue. Everything?! shouting, readable across 3 sims? To any one visiting!
Kind of a trant, but would like to read others input.

You can AR (the owner of) the objects from your home if they're "audible" beyond parcel borders, not so sure about the people though.

Shouting will carry 100m though, if they're close to a corner you would hear it in close to half of the three surrounding sims as well.

If talking to them gets you nowhere, AR AR AR!

There should be a feature like restrict sounds for parcels so this kind of problem doesn't happen.

QFT, just like with sounds , maybe add a filter to choose objects/av's or both

Can you not do this on the Land window? At least for some objects - on the media tab and check "restict spacial sound for this parcel".

This silenced a whistling R2D2 which is rezd high up on my neighbour's parcel.

Sounds files and shouting text aren't the same thing, I thought so too, but a Mentor explained the diff.

i had this issue once. i went over and talked, and they were really nice about it, since i was. they fixed it and we got along fine, and i eventually even rented mall space from them. but.... i never heard their shouts again. they probably just don't know it's happening. go talk, and be nice about it. invite them to your place so they can see what you are complaining about. betcha they fix it.

no sense in creating a bad neighbor situation. those are very unpleasant.

Screw em. Mute them all, buy up what land you can around them and put up banlines.
