Discuss your thoughts on fluid animated sculpties. Prims can be animated too but unless it was really simple it would just be too many prims. They are animated by llSetTextureAnim.

Maybe the "discuss" invite made folks go "oh noooooooooes, I have to think?" Perhaps a visual would help?_____________________

What are you doing, a rectangular sculpt map with the animation in multiple panels and sliding a non-alpha surface texture from one part of the sculpt to another?

Does it look (the single object) like these things which are moving up and down in Lava lamps? Kind of "pudding-sculptie"? I have no idea if there could be a market for that, but spontaneous I could find it interesting for artwork - and interior design for example. (Which would depend on price and permissions) |

It will be interesting to see what will be down the pipeline, though. I know that meshes are coming in the future, and I would not be too surprised if this causes sculpts to go the way of system shoes. _____________________

I know that meshes are coming in the future, and I would not be too surprised if this causes sculpts to go the way of system shoes. Well, like all the animals(exculding avatars) we have running around in SL all have stiff legs or slowly framed legs. Its almost painful for me to look at. So thats like my next step once i get a bit of scripting help. I already know it can be done I just don't have the scripting knowledge at the moment. But someone has offered to help me so I will be able to create them pretty soon. So imagine having a pet that follows you around with a perfectly smooth leg animation ![]() _____________________
