Hey
Phoebe Drucker's been getting "Unable to create requested object. Object is missing from database." errors every ten seconds since the weekend. She has cleared her cache manually. She has tried the avatar on two different computers. She has taken everything off and put her avatar back to newbie status and relogged naked, and she still gets this message.
Is there any way to stop this? We can't figure out what object is causing the issue, if there is an object doing this. It's not anything on her avatar currently.
She'd rather not lose her inventory by creating a new avatar. She's spent a lot of time and money and much of it is no trans/copy.
Can anyone help? Lindens haven't responded yet.

It's gone, chief. You need a new copy from the creator.

You said she has taken everything off, did that include huds? Did she do a detach all? Otherwise it could be an object that she owns that rezzes something every 10 seconds. Any temp rezzors on her land? I am sure it is frustrating. She should file a support ticket before she rolls a new avi. No sense starting all over again. Whatever it is can be figured out.. she is just going to have to be patient.

She took everything off, actually.
What bothers us most about this is the message doesn't say which object is doing this. Apparently it only happens on her land, at least this is the case tonight. I'm not sure about the other nights.
She submitted a ticket, but so have many other people and there still isn't an answer.

So if it only happens on her land, you can at least narrow it to objects rezzed there that in turn rez stuff. Temp rezzers (including teleporters etc.) would be one way to get this over and over.

I get this sometimes when SL is acting up with asset server problems.
The item works fine later when the situation is normal.
Tell her to try when its not a peak time.

Thing is it happens when she's on. Period.
Is there a way to turn off error messages so you don't see them at least? She's deleted part of her inventory in hopes of getting rid of the problem but without knowing what the object is that causes the error, she'd have to delete thousands of linden worth of objects.
It went away for a very short time then returned. But for the most part, this has been steady and ongoing.
Now she'd be happy to just turn off the error messages. They happen every ten seconds, even now.

hrmmmm
Now that does sound bad.
It does sound like its time for a support ticket.
If you still try the inventory thing have her stuff things in boxes instead of delete - least you can get stuff back that way.

She's submitted a ticket already and they've told her what she did before she submitted it. How to turn off the error messages?

I'm wondering if this same error could be generated by avatar texture stuff like eyes and clothing. The message says "object" but that's a pretty generic term. On the other hand, I'm not sure how frequently it would try to push a missing eye, say, onto the avatar, nor whether it wouldn't eventually give up, so that could well be a red herring. (Nonetheless, I'd probably try swapping in the "Test Female" or "Test Male" character, as a sort of desperate experiment.)
On the assumption that it really is an "Object" trying to be rezzed, I'm a little surprised those messages are getting to the agent from a distant sim. But if it's not an attachment, I guess that must be what's going on. Wonder if any 3rd-party viewer can help identify at least the sim whence those messages originate.
(Oh, and there's no point trying to delete Inventory items; whatever's going on is happening with something rezzed in-world, not from Inventory. The confusion may be that the same message is generated when one tries to rez a missing-from-database item from Inventory manually, but when that fails, it's just the one message, not repeated.)

A texture going AWOL shows a "Missing Texture" and doesn't give an error message otherwise. So, we can rule this out. Missing shape would cause an issue of "Still Downloading," I believe and the avatar would appear as Ruth/Cloud (at least that's what happens to me in related bugs). Attachments could cause this, I think, maybe huds.

Has she checked her land with beacons on for scripted objects? One thing that comes to mind for me is that *maybe* the land was griefed by a temp-rezzing object. If the griefer was banned and all items created by him were deleted, then it's possible the original spawning object (that he obtained from elsewhere and which therefore doesn't have him listed as creator and thus wouldn't be deleted) is still on the land, whereas the prims or objects that he filled it with for it to rez (created by him, and therefore deleted) are still trying to rez, but not being in the database they're giving a constant error.
I know that usually that error only goes to the owner/creator, though. Is it possible that she could have been griefed using something she created and maybe left out full-perm or sold in a store?
Grasping at straws, I know, and it doesn't make sense (I haven't had a cup of coffee yet today *g*), but "check every possibility, even the impossible ones" is always a good thing to try.

Has she tried uninstalling SL completely and reinstalling it?
I had a problem a few weeks back when the new client came out. When installing, it did not update properly. I had to manually uninstall and delete all old SL folders. Not sure it will help, but it is a thought.

I was getting this message when I when to our rented island, I would tp away and it would continue until I logged off and logged in at a different location. Once I went back to the island again it would start all over. I was searching frantically to find what was causing it but didn't find anything.
The island owner did a restart on the sim and it went away.

From: Sredni Eel She's submitted a ticket already and they've told her what she did before she submitted it.
The initial response is almost always canned, regardless of the details you provide. Have her reopen the ticket and explain that she's already done everything they've suggested...she *should* get a real response this time.
