thiis is a linden issue not a resident issue.. why is the bug report so hard to get to it is no longer in world have to go to the tracker to report it and then it cant be found or hard to find.. this is a further issue of the lindens getting away from addressing in world issues and version issues.. WHERE ARE THE LINDENS!!!!!!!!! back behind thier computers avoiding issues is where they are. well it wont work this time Lindens if you dont want us coming to post in the forms about issues then let us report them in world and come back itno world and deal with us... if anyone has an issue in world plase contact the Bad Business Bureau or the SL help Desk at least they are in world for residents unlike the lindens. Maybe as a voice i here every resident that has a bug issue with sl like the frinds list is not working AGAIN. come ot the forms and every one put a bug report here..
good idea here report your bugs here if enough people do it maybe the lindens might listen though i doubt it but its worth a shot

The bug report option is on the Tools menu as shown below: How much attention such bug reports get these days I don't know but the option is still there. It's not a great deal harder to file a bug report in the issue tracker than it is to make a post in a forum. Are there any particular parts of using the issue tracker you have trouble with?

Residents here will try to help with work-arounds and "encouraging words," but a forum post won't get much if any LL attention. I agree that for experienced users, access to the support ticket form is unhelpfully obscured by the Knowledge Base front-end; presumably the (outsourced) designers of the LL support portal copied Microsoft's useless help system in devising this trick for reducing support volume (and, for new users, it probably really does work better than waiting for a support response). For real, reproducible bugs, especially those where the submitter has some idea of the cause or even a code fix, the jira can be pretty effective. (The "jira" is the "Public Issue Tracker" in the Tools / Bug Reporting menu.) For reporting in-world b0rkage (sim down, etc.), either a paid account support ticket or concierge live help is really the mechanism. And they do seem to have a pretty good tracking system behind that not-so-friendly interface.

has anyone actually clicked on the report bug lately?
I have, and it sucks!!
it takes you to the jira dashboard page, which is as useful as tits on a bull
I hate hate hate reporting bugs now, and only do it when I can not take it any longer
(like this stupid group bug, with groups erroring and closing when someone tries to talk in one)

I clicked it, and it took me to the usual "report bug" "steps to reproduce bug" etc...

when I click it, it takes me to the jira (which I get so lost in, and when I have posted bugs, someone else (not a linden, or at least not with the last name linden) comes along and closes it
