I'm sure there was a giant thread here on goth skins, but I can't find it now. Either it was actually elsewhere, it's purged, the search is broken, or I'm useless.

Regardless, I'm looking for a goth skin which is reasonably photorealistic and detailed. My favourite tan skin (from CRS) is 20% photo, the rest drawn, but it is extremely detailed and natural looking.

Pretty well every goth skin I've seen is more or less a featureless smear to me. There's some shading (not much, and what is there is around the breasts), but they all just look flat and boring to me.

I don't care if it's dead white, or a nice pale, or whatever, but I want something that rivals the quality of Gala or CRS (oddly, the CRS goth skin didn't do it for me). Does anybody have any suggestions?

This is for my evil twin alt, btw.

I'm not a big fan of 'realistic' skins in our cartoon world, but there are some white skins at RaC. My dealer (Celestial Studios) has hand drawn goth skins in her Charmed line, and there are actual two shades of white at Nomine.

I went on a goth skin shopping expedition a few weeks ago, and while I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't hit ALL the skin shops, I went to at least 20. One of my faves was as Ann mentioned about, the Celestial Studios line. Lots of variations, AND you can tone the skin to be super pale, or more toward gray, using the sliders.

I have two pale skins from Broken, which is in Temenos. They are quite loevly and available in many seathly shades.

my all time favorite Goth Skin is the GX Lucine Goth Skin by Second Skin Labs (Namssor Daguerre is the creator). You can see me wearing it in my in-world profile picture. I've yet to find anything better.

RealSKIN and Nomine have excellent goth skins. (Search for those under places > shopping...I'm not in world ATM)

I own practically all of Nomine's skins, and she now has Goth/Harlequin skins that are stunning.

First of all, excuse my really bad play on words...

I also went on a goth skin expedition, and I couldn't really find anything....

Having said that Avalon Designs have a rather good one, quite detailed, but it is over 1000L$. I ended up getting a goth skin from Dae Skins from the OnRez Website, reasonably priced and really nice make-up....It was called Bloodflower Makeup I think.

There is a an affiliate store accross from the !X2 store that has gothic apparel and skins. Same quality work as !X2 skins and apparel.

good gothic/vampyre skins are pretty rare in sl. RaC sells a skin called 'flour' that makes a nice 'non-white' goth skin.

Another place to check for interesting and well done Goth Skins that won't break your bank is DaeSkins...I can't remember the Sim name but they are in with Goldie Locks and Simplicity on that sim.

Well, I looked at everything recommended here (that I could find - never did find the Avalon skin), and had another look at the new CRS goth skin, and narrowed it down to the CRS and a Dae Skins one. The CRS was extremely sharp, and very nice, while the Dae Skin was more textured and had better shadow detail. The Dae Skin one ended up being my favourite, regardless of price. It is a nice bonus that it was also, by far, the cheapest.
