Can't delete objects

This has been going on for some days now, the only way i have found to delete object is move them onto someone elses land and wait 4 them 2 be auto-returned.

the delete option is there but when i press it it just dosnt do anything, when i move an object there seems to be a collision ghost of the object, and the object that i moved is phantom, even tho its unticked.

anyone know a script that force updates the object or a way to fix this darn annoying problem, tryed clearing cache, and re-installing, but nothing

my mate sais i need a faster internet connection but this ones expensive enough

PC specs

3.2GHZ Athlon 64 4600+
GeForce 8800 768MB
2.3GB Ram
2x320GB Hard-drives, both SATA (SL's Cache is on the other drive to keep thing running nice and fast)
20MBit Virgin Media Internet connection (i get the full speed of it as the exchange is just down the road)

that should be enough to keep SL running, is it time to upgrade again allready? or just a problem with the grid?

I have always been lead to believe that this was a problem with the sim you are in (it has happened in my home sim a few times) and that a sim restart was the fix. BUT I am not sure about this and would guess that someone who knows better than I do can come along and help us out.

Pretty sure it`s a grid problem. This has happened to me, and other residents, as well.

I found the only way to get rid of the "ghost prims" was to reset my sim. But I understand that`s not an option for you.

Try a Few times to delete, if None of them work, Edit the item, and Raise it's elevation to 999.999 Meters It will be returned to your Inventory (L&F) and you can delete it from there. Old Bug, Old Fix.

This was happening to me earlier tonight. I just moved the prims out of my way, and deleted them later. Seems to happen to me temporarily, just like lag, freezing, or other glitches that come along.
