I think they are in your Inventory, in the Library section, but have a look in the Clothing section too?

The default av clothes are in your inventory's "library" folder. Not sure the subfolder within the library, but there are always several selections. Welcome to sl and the forums.

It's Library/Clothing.
Within that folder are all the default avatars, each with an entire outfit by name.
To wear individual items of clothing, just open the subfolder and drag items onto your avatar, one by one.
To become the default avatar (e.g., Girl Next Door), just drag the whole subfolder onto your avatar

right mouse clicking and selecting wear is easier than dragging - and can help prevent you from accidentally dragging something to the wrong folder or into the world and rezzing away from you.

No, Kelly. Dont. You'll be happier naked if you do that. Go and buy a nice pair of jeans and a tee shirt. Just like in real - do you get you clothes outta the trash can after you have chucked them out in real?

Yes, it is...but for some reason, you can't do that with items in your Library folder. If you want to do it that way, select the items in the Library, then Copy and Paste them into the My Inventory folder or one of its subfolders. Then right click and select Wear as Pussycat suggests.

SL needs a way to un-do changes to appearance or attachments, and a way to save outfits without having to move inventory around. Ever tried something on and then found it really tedious to revert?

On the off chance that, as a Sept-09 registration, you also need more / better outfits:
IM me in world if you want some landmarks to good freebie spots.
But try this to start:
Free Dove Freebie Dungeon Ho Wear
Ho Wear only has 1 freebie, for women only, and only until 8pm server time, and only on weekdays, but its different everyday and is usually amazing.
There are two freebie dungeons, and the one that shows in search is not actually a freebie store - but a 1L store. The one not in search is all freebies, and is located in the space between ground and the floor of the shop above it... O.o - So I might have to just send you a landmark to it. Unless its in search again. Might have just been a bug when I searched and ended up in the other place instead.

From: Anya Ristow SL needs a way to un-do changes to appearance or attachments, and a way to save outfits without having to move inventory around. Ever tried something on and then found it really tedious to revert? I created a folder called 'Always Wear.' Inside of it I put my shape, skin, eyes, teeth, ears, tail, AO, and eyebrow shaper. At any point, I always have the ability to click that folder and be back to -my- basic nude look. I can then open up my clothing folder where any outfit I wear regularly has a subfolder called 'worn' - inside of which I put all the things that came with that outfit that do not conflict with my 'Always Wear' set. So I can then just right click the 'worn' fold and choose to add it. Three to four clicks (2 plus opening folders) and I'm done. The 'Always Worn' folder is also useful after I try on a new outfit. I try on the full outfit, then 'add' always worn, and then look in the folder of the new outfit. Anything that's been taken off does not get put into the worn folder when I create it. - Plus, anything that had ruined my look gets reverted.
