Banned do I have any recourse?

I was banned from a sim. I don't know why. There was no indication I was doing anything wrong. Im stumped. Do i have any avenues for recourse? Thanks in advance

you should ask the sim owner why if you are not sure or if you know of the person that banned you..
As far as LL getting involved..they won't..the sim owners can pretty much ban you for anything they want..

There's 10,000 other sims you're not banned from, explore and let them suffer...........

Most Sim owners have records for all bans or people called estate managers, admins etc that police the sim. So First step is to contact the sim owner. Many times when someone has no clue why they were banned, it was a mistake.

Your name was give as the person responsible for something by mistake, etc.

It is worth asking the sim owner.

You haven't said what type of sim it was.

If it wasn't the sim owner who banned you - chances are it *might have* been a trigger happy staff member/officer. You could try appealing to the club owner/land owner, but the ban might also be upheld.

What you consider no big deal might've run contrary to the club rules or to someone's personal aesthetic. Banning can happen for any reason including the person with ban power's whim.

On the off chance the owner doesn't agree (with the staff member's reasons - IF it wasn't the owner who banned you), you could try appealing but as someone else said there are a lot of other sims in SL.

Check with who banned you. I assume it wasn't just a boot out of the sim, but an actual ban?

Make sure to be -nice- to that person so you have chance for a mistake to be seen as a mistake if it was a mistake...

I got booted out of a sim yesterday for 'camping' because I didn't respond in time an IM... So a mod in that Sim thought I was an AFk camper on the dance pole.
- Nevermind that I'd been cybering up half the people on the dance floor in local... and had some 5 IM tabs open, and didn't see the new one pop up beyond the width of my window...

Still, soon as I was suddenly elsewhere and got a stream of 'Pussy where are you???' IMs, I scanned all my tabs, found the issue, and chatted to resolve it.

Annoying window never flashed on me... guy had given 5 minutes to respond and I never even noticed he'd IM'd me... It was a mistake on both our parts. He wasn't looking at local, and I'd accidentally ignored a Sim moderator.

On the other hand, I saw someone banned from the same Sim a month ago, and her tactic was to foul mouth the person who shoved her out, and so she ended up staying banned for a day, until she managed to get someone to pull rank for her. But, since the one time I saw her back after that, I've never seen her in the club again, so maybe after pulling rank all those mods got together and compared notes...
