Banned from SLAB store for no reason?

I was looking for clothes and came along the .... main store.
My landing point was outside the land parcel in http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pahringull/93/99/22
I wasn't able to enter because it said that I was banned from the parcel. But I can't remember to have been there before and I dont think I did anything wrong.
When I looked at Land-info, there was a long list of banned names.
Is it normal that they randomly ban people?
I wrote an IM to the owner but I got no answer.

Edit: I was able to visit one of their other stores, and bought something there :)
But I would like to know why I am banned on the main store. Anyone have any ideas?

People can do whatever they want on their own land, so there's really no way for us to know.

You probably shouldn't use specific business (or avatar) names in these sorts of posts though...LL frowns on 'naming names' in what might be construed as a derogatory manner on their forums. Your OP isn't overtly negative, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

YOUR proberly not banned, the long list is just from before and they have set either group access only or banned everyone from going their, they may just be doing maintenance onthe store

I went to peek to see if it was group only acess or soemthing, but it is set to public access. As to why you in particular are banned I have no idea, however they do have an unusually long ban list for a store. It may have been the plot was something else before hand and they re named the parcel etc and didnt wipe the ban list?

Are you banned from anywhere else? There's something called banlink, maybe they use that?

ya know, why worry about being banned at a mall? Its not like we are running out of malls.

if your profile lists someone or some place that the landowner is against, you might be banned by mere association.

come shop at my mall instead. i'm certain you are not banned from there. ;)

This reminds me of something that happened to me earlier this year. I went to a store to find specific types of scripted animations...the owner of the store happened to be there at the time. I sent him and IM asking if he had this certain animation I was looking for. And with no other contact whatsoever, I was ejected and banned! I im'd him again asking WTF??? and he either muted or ignored me as well. I even looked up his profile to see if it said something specific about not IMing him or something...and there was nothing. So...weird things happen like that all the time, I think.

OK I never could really wrap my mind around this one.

Why in the world would someone who has been banned unfairly really want to go back to the same place. "Please unban me where I can shop in your store and give you my money". Hell if they ever see me again or get even $L1 from me.

Well I saw an outfit that I liked. But I was only banned at the main store. Like I said, there is a long list of names that are banned. But I was able to go to their other stores, so I bought it there.

Somebody said its not good to say the names in the Forum. Well, I removed the name of the store now. I thought maybe the owner of that store would read here and could give me a statement...
but I am happy now. Thank you for your answers.

I am humbled by your attitude. Most of us humans would have escalated this to an incident of Biblical proportions and would boycott all stores associated with the mall and all their grandchildren's efforts too in perpetuity.

I have had incidents at Avatar Island where folks are saying they are banned, but they are not in the ban list

maybe that is what happened to you...

weird things happen

One fine day

Here's a weird incident that happened to a friend and I one day...

We were shopping for furniture and popped into a store to check out their merchandise.

They had some neat stuff and as we were browsing the store, the owner greeted us and said "If there's anything I can help you with, let me know."

That was nice, we said thanks and went on shopping.

A few minutes later she said "Oh, can you two come outside the shop here? I want to show you something."

Cool!

We went outside with her and were immediately orbited. She spammed us with the MOST violent, homophobic (strange since we were a male and a female), racist (calling us ni**er fu**ers, etc., although we're both caucasian) and totally obscene rants, saying they don't allow people of our "kind" there, etc. If it were just myself I'd have laughed it off as some idiot being stupid. But it kind of upset my partner, so I IM'd the person and asked what she thought we might have done to offend her.

She just continued with her insane rant, wouldn't stop spamming us, and kept going on and on with her insanity no matter how much I tried to reason with her. I couldn't understand why she'd be so rude to people that simply wanted to shop in her store.

So, I calmly TP'd back to the land again. Turns out I rezzed right in front of her, giving her quite a start - she said "HOW'D YOU DO THAT!?!?" I guess she thought she had permanently ejected me from the land or something.

I looked at the land ownership and saw it was owned by a good friend of mine - and I was, in fact, a member of the land group with near-ownership permissions.

Bad news for crazy lady. Ejected, banned, and all her stuff returned. She learned an easy lesson in respect for others that day.

To this day I still wonder what drove her to go so insane in such a short period of time. Like someone flipped a switch.
