Torley Linden covered this in his Tip of the Week #8 segment.

http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/10/18/tip-of-the-week-8-how-to-deal-with-some-common-annoyances/

The rotation is covered about 3/4 of teh way through the YouTube video on this and will show you what menues to go through.

Of course, this may be a bug not a setting. If your settings are right, try clearing yoru cache (in preferences) and relogging. If the problem persists after all that, submit a Support Ticket.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Except when you watch it, he doesn't. He tells you how to get the script that cancels viewer-side effects, including rotation, but not how to start a rotation you can't see.

It wasn't a completely wasted 5 minutes for me to watch it, because even after over a year, I didn't realise muting an object stopped sounds as well as chat.

To the OP: Off the top of my head, I don't know a sure-fire way... stopping [set llTargetOmega(<0, 0, 0>, 1, 1>;) ] & re-starting the rotation usually works for me. I'm prepared to bet that relogging, clearing cache and updating your drivers will be suggested, but I've no idea if this'll do anything. The first two, at least, are easy to try. Note that this is a known bug, and not likely to be a set-up problem at your end.

Bah! I should know to not look up things halfway...esspecially on my first cup of coffee.

Sorry about that.

I'd go with the clear cache and relog then. FIle a Support Ticket after that if it doesn't fix.

You may also try changing from one group tag to another. Seems that old "quick fix" is back to fixing things.

The client-side rotation function is plagued by all kinds of problems--just search the jira for llTargetOmega for an afternoon of fun reading. But one question for the OP: do you see *other* things rotating? If not, it may just be your graphics card and the current versions of SL: see http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2498 in particular.

If you can't see anything rotate (or can't see texture animations for that matter):

Client / Network / Velocity Interpolate Objects needs to be checked

(Ctrl-Alt-D or Ctrl-Alt-Shift-D if you don't have the debug menus up)
