Getting L out of Group?

A bit ago a friend of mine sold some land which is group owned, which he is the owner of.

He sold it since then, but forgot to set it back to owning it himself..instead it was still group owned.

Anyways now his money is stuck in the group..is there any way he can get the lindens out of the group?

It should only take a day or two for it to be processed out to the "owners" of the group or any member of the group set up to recv dividends or pay group liabilities. I would suggest you tell him to make sure only HE is the one able to do that

Normally all L$ like that are distributed daily to the members that are set to receive group disbursements, however there has been a problem with that according to the blogs recently.

The money will be split evenly amongst all the group members and distributed out to them, usually within 24 hours after the sale. Your friend will have to talk to the other group members to get them to give him the money that they receive for this sale.

I am sorry to tell you, but it isn't 'stuck', since a group does not have an L$ balance. It takes 24 to 48 hours for the payment to be processed to a group. The money is then paid out to ALL group members that have the "Pay Liabilities" role permission - and that is on by default. So if your friend sold the land for L$50,000, and there are 1000 members in the group, you each got L$50, and likely didn't even notice it.

Actually, if he owns the group, he needs to remove the "Pay Liabilities" role from everyone but himself, before they get that fixed! Then maybe he will get his money!

ok well currently its just me and him in the group..so I think we should be fine..so I am taking it that it will split between ourselves?

Yes, if you two are the only group members, you will get a 50/50 split of the land sale price. If you don't get it in 48 hours after the sale, refer to that article about the payouts being delayed, and if it doesn't show after that is resolved, submit a help desk ticket to get it fixed by a Linden.
