Huge dark cloud

One of my neighbors on the island have a huge dark cloud over their home. What is this?:o I haven't been inworld since early yesterday, no idea what this is.

Aw. I thought this was going to be another thread about age verification.

Seriously though, your neighbor might have set up an SL weather system. There are a few products out there that simulate weather. Some of them are very impressive.

Weather in SL IS cool. It would be even cooler if we could make it sim wide.

Ive seen that before too .......

Its not that hard.... it had a couple of mega prim clouds.... and particle lightning and particle rain ... I always though it was fantastic to look at

Prolly the same weather system I had, which doesn't suit a beach but was moody over a lake on my last sim. Mind you everything was moody over that lake towards the end! :)

My simple particle rain generator does the thunder, too, but no clouds...damn....

Wasn't that done already? I seem to recall that a sim or sims were flooded to simulate the effects of global warming melting polar icecaps, in a publicity event in-world intended to draw attention to the issue.

There are several systems out there that will make clouds, particle rain, thunder and lightning, and temp-on-rez snowflakes that will actually cover the prim objects beneath the clouds. The particle rain falls right through roofs, causing it to rain inside, but the snow works great!
