I'd like for LL to give us soon to be former mentors some kind of going away object, set to the Mentor group.

What..a kick in the ass and the bum's rush wasn't enough for you? .Lindens tend to silent drop everyone from a group so there's no ejection notice people can get all excited and mouthy about. Mentors will just log on and unless they happen to look at their groups or the group count they won't even know they've already been removed. |

Welll, I took a picture of my group list yesterday, so when the groups are gone I can take a picture of the list without them, and then I can crop and paste together my own going away souvenir.
Osprey, heh. I started a public Wave inviting the Linden staff to join; no takers so far. _____________________

Mentors will just log on and unless they happen to look at their groups or the group count they won't even know they've already been removed. Considering about 95% of my online time this week has been on the help islands (so am currently wearing the tag) I think I will notice when I am suddenly tagless! _____________________

Someone should go to office hours and suggest that LL should at least open the Help Islands to public access.
Yes, they will turn into cesspits like the Infohubs. But at least people won't get trapped there, never knowing how to get to the rest of SL. _____________________

But at least people won't get trapped there, never knowing how to get to the rest of SL. Which they could solve by having only the subset of the population go there who actually want to help new residents and .... wait a second. _____________________

There was some event at which we were given "Mentor Superstars". I was not able to find mine.
Yesterday or so I asked Mia Linden if she still had one for me and today I got it. That will serve the purpose of souvenir just fine. Mia sent a group notice out that this is the last day she will take similar requests for "Mentor Superstar"s, so if you want one, act now, time is running out! _____________________

There was some event at which we were given "Mentor Superstars" Maybe we should rez them in places and wait for someone to ask what mentors are? ![]() Can you just imagine the reaction from the crop of new residents who go through right before they cut off the mentors today and later find out the mentor program was discontinued? _____________________
