1. Is there a way to search "adult" groups while offline?
2. Does anyone have experience with windows 64 bit? With the added memory does it help improve performance any? Just curious. Upgrading a machine OS but curious to know if playing SL off that machine would be beneficial (compared to same machine with same vid card but win 32 bit and 3b mem).
Thanks everyone.

Yes, but Amara, you cannot use SL Search to search adult listings unless you are inworld:

From: DocMstr Moorlord 2. Does anyone have experience with windows 64 bit? With the added memory does it help improve performance any? Just curious. Upgrading a machine OS but curious to know if playing SL off that machine would be beneficial (compared to same machine with same vid card but win 32 bit and 3b mem) If you are running multiple memory hungry applications at once, the extra memory in a 64-bit system can be useful. You can also patch the SL viewer to be largeaddressaware in 64-bit Windows as described here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/64-bit-vista-gaming,2250-5.htmlIt doesn't make SL faster, but it increases the amount of memory it can use and makes it somewhat less crash prone when you're using longer draw distances.

True, but only indirectly. SL is a 32-bit application and is therefore subject to the limits of a 32-bit environment, to include a limit on how much memory it and its child processes can access. The only advantage of running a 32-bit application on a 64-bit system with a large amount of memory is that the OS can allocate the entire amount of memory the 32-bit application can access without taking it away from other processes, if the memory is available.

I was referring to the largeaddressaware patching. It increases the address space a 32-bit application can use from 2GB to 3GB.

Naw, but that would be an awesome thing for someone to do if it was ever required. That's only a form for using the same search service the viewers do

Or is it that the Linden web site filters adult search results although the underlying search system returns them?

I am not sure how it would work for just groups, but you use Google to retrieve adult results by searching like this: From: someone bdsm site:world.secondlife.com
