To post a picture in the forum, you need to have it published on a web site as jpg format and then use the options to insert image in the post. You may need to edit your options on the forum to get the little button icons shown to give you these functions. If you don't have four icons for inserting image, hyperlink, email link and WRAP Quote tags above the text box, then you need to set the options for them on.
I don't think you can go directly from SL Inventory Photo Album to the forum - you need to have the picture already on a web site to put in the link. _____________________

Tinkerbell,
You understood more of that explanation than I did. You comprehend computers more than you think. I don't have a clue as to how to do all that, whew. Maybe by the next millennium? |

For a lot of info on snapshots see Torley Linden's guide in the Second Life wiki.
Its at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Help:Snapshots That has a page telling how to save snapshots in your inventory to your hard drive: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Saving_Textures That gets you a file on your hard drive in TGA format. TGA format has it's uses but it's not very good for putting on the internet. You can get Irfanview, a free image utility, to convert the TGA file to a jpg file. Then get a free Photobucket account if you don't already have somewhere to store the images on the web. If you want to pay for image storage I'd pick Flickr, but if you plan on storing many pictures and want to do it for free then I'd pick photobucket. There are other free image storage services, Once you have an account with one, it will have a way to let you upload the image to it. Photobucket is nice because it will copy the code you need to display a picture here into your text copy buffer so all you have to do is paste it in here. Photobucket let's you create subfolders, so if you do WoW and SL and so on you can put the pictures for each into separate folders while using only one account. To avoid messing up the forum formatting it's best to keep the images posted here no more than 512 pixels wide. _____________________
