Any toutorial how to make boots from prims but looking like fabrik , fiting the leg?

I have no idea about that kinda stuff but I suspect you would start with a sock and build up from that

I don't much like all-prim boots. I much prefer something that hugs the calves closer.

Boots of the kind I like are two or three parts...a high heeled shoe part (which may in itself be several prims, like any shoe), a part going up the leg in the socks layer, and (possibly) a prim piece at the top as a cuff.

Pants designers: Please make your pants either modifiable (so we can shorten them to match the boot tops), or give us a version in the underwear layer so the boots will go over them!

Underwear layer. Gee, I should have thought of that. You can't make loose pants that way but it would be a great way to make a loose version and a tight version.

I usually avoid pants I can not mod not only for the boot problem, but because I like to set the length to 99 so I don't get that dangeling triangle at the bottom glitch.
