I have a second avatar. I would like to know - is there any way to transfer inventory from the second avatar into my primary avatar's inventory without losing the "non-transferrable" items (like some rather gorgeous hair from Bewitched ) ?

Nope, unfortunately no transfer is no transfer, regardless of whether you own both accounts. And, unless it's copy/transfer (generally only freebies), you will lose anything you transfer to the alt from your main account's inventory.

You can only transfer the items that are marked as "transferable". In most cases, if an item is transferable, it is not copiable, so if you "give" it to your alt account, you then lose it from your main account. An alt is good for backing up copiable items, though.
An alt is treated as a separate account from your main, and other than in SL's database, it is not linked to your main at all. Therefore, you can't share a non-transferable inventory item, just as you couldn't share it with another avatar, operated by another person.

Hi Marion,
Unfortunately, no. You can't transfer things that are no transfer. I transfer money and Landmarks and transferable items between my alt and me but there is no way to transfer the non transferables.

thanks for the quick replies. I guess I'll have to shell out for the hair. Still, keeping the alt for backups is a good suggestion. Thanks!
