Show Collision Skeleton => Giant Eyeball or Hairball?

Doing Client / Character / Show Collision Skeleton causes a giant eyeball to appear. Why would a command to display a skeleton show a giant eyeball? If I zoom out and look from the right place the eyeball changes to a hairball. This is what it looks like on my Blackflag alt.  It morphs into a giant hair ball at times. Weird.

ADDITION: well I get a giant ball around my feet too, but it's textured with an abstract blue pattern, not an eye. Presumably this is a bug in the client.

Hey, that's pretty freaky-- I get an eyeball, too. If I zoom out enough, it turns solid black. This is actually the eye texture I'm wearing at the moment-- pretty weird bug!

Is showing Collision Skeleton now not displaying a sphere but is instead displaying something more like a skeleton, sort of like the attachment points but with more points?

Hmmm. Somebody who knows the viewer source could answer this, but purely conjecturing, I'd guess that it's now trying to show a kind of wireframe of where a mouseclick would raytrace to the character rather than its background (i.e., where to click to get Profile on the pie menu); it even outlines the name tag over head. Before it looked more or less like the physical collision envelope of the agent.

I've not updated my viewer and it is showing the thin wire-frame pyramidal shape - which I think is correct.
