Ok, about an hour ago I was at a town meeting at sailors cove, well... half the people were grey and my friend was grey, who previously had not been ,, *before TP
Now it is an hour or so later and she is still grey and I am half grey on my screen, she says she can see me fine... I am at home and the lag is horrible, on a sim where LAG is never an issue....
I've tried all the normal things (I think) cleared cache, rebaked.. etc etc..
Please advise what else I can do.. This is really really depressing.

check the blog...this is a known issue, they are working on it

They have not resolved it, I just logged out. In sims I visited, it is not restricted to avatars ... many textures are not loading, and the texture console (ctrl-shift-3) shows no attempts being made to load them.
Lindens have requested that support be notified when you encounter a region with this problem. As a basic resident, I gave them the info in a "Region Down" ticket, being very clear that the region wasn't actually down, but wasn't loading textures, as per their request in the blog.

LOL I went to report my region and was told they are working on it,.... now here's the thing.. I was asking and talking and this support person said a scripted we are working on it.. then nothing.. I am like HELLO HELLO?????? no reply.. a few min later.. I get I am sorry I was bombarded.. well duh.. so I asked the question I needed answered again 4 min NOTHING no reply from suport tech OMG WTF.

I have been SIM hopping for over 2 hrs and as the clock ticks on, the grey is getting worse.. I have submitted tickets and know they are working on it...but I have to agree with you..it IS getting worse. |

I just logged into the sim that I reported, it's all better now. In fact, textures are loading incredibly fast.

I had grey ppl for a while, but found it strangely fascinating it was interesting to see ppl shapes without skins or clothes or hair - it was like being in a room full of living puppets seems fine now though |
