Does anyone know of any designs or merchants they could recommend?
And before you suggest me building my own, let me tell you about the expensive no copy house I trashed by unlinking it

I am looking for a rather small size skybox of approx. 25 x 25 preferably of an interesting design rather than a typical square box.
Does anyone know of any designs or merchants they could recommend? And before you suggest me building my own, let me tell you about the expensive no copy house I trashed by unlinking it Cheers ![]() _____________________

Is that everything for your requirements?
For example; my sky-home is just a house on a few prims textured to look like pieces of ground (grass on top, mid/dirt on the sides) which is very easy to build. You can just put a house of your choice on top, as most pre-fab houses are a lot better than the pre-fab skyboxes I've seen. _____________________

Hi Alt, have you looked on SLExchange? Just search for skybox and you won't know what hit you
![]() Or you could check out Isablan (Neva)'s sky homes at the Botanical Gardens. Now, they're what I call different. No boring boxes over there! |

hehe I know what you saying, but building your own is nice. I have built 5 on my land and may build 2 more. But mine are more like Sky houses.

Thank you for the nod, Chas
My suggestion is for you to really think about how you are going to use your house and what kind of style suits your SL life. Sky living tends to be far more "creative" than ground based houses since you don't have to worry about fitting in with the rest of the neighbors. Living on the ground you will get some raised eyebrows if you drop something funky into an area with cute country cottages, but in the sky you can really go wild. The range of options is really marvelous and I'm far from the only one doing cool stuff that hangs in the sky (I am, of course, biased towards my own work but also realize that it isn't to everyone's taste....) it really depends on your style preferences, you can run the gamut from space stations to balloons to goth castles. Your immersion level is also higher in the sky - you don't look out your window at the Cap Cod mansion next door and the tall, modern skyscraper two parcels over. You also get to make the whole surrealism of defying gravity work for you - you can put a pirate ship up there and live on that..... Go wild. Think outside the box! _____________________

Look at Vivienne Schell's Sky Bungalow (27x27) or Sky Apartment (24x12) in SLX or Desperation North 144,89,400. I have the Sky Mansion and love it. All the houses are low prim, high quality, have good textures (plus extra textures), and are modifiable.

Can always have one custom build =P
But, I was in FooRoo last night and saw some lovely two-tiered skyboxes (Meaning the land that the building sits on in the sky, not the building).... inspired me to make a simpler version for myself ^^ _____________________

I made a small 2 level skybox, about half the size you are looking for. It's a dance floor on the bottom and 1 animated private room up top. I wouldn't suggest it for a main house. Just a place to hide when you need some privacy. Lavanya's Prefabs are bigger and have more available styles.

I recommend Blanc Noir's SkyLife modules and sets if you like a modular look. They are nice looking, copy/mod, and unbelievably affordable. You can see their stuff on SLX:

It would definitely fit 25 x 25, and it's low-prim. I'll happily trade it to you (copy/mod no trans) so you can make a copy and mess around with it, with no fears. If you love it, drop me what you think it's worth. If you hate it, trash it. Fair enough? ![]() |
