If anyone is experiencing a difference in colour/lightness of any alpha textures on the 1.23 viewer. Or if you see what is explained in the undermentioned Jira link, please visit the link and either comment or please vote for this to be fixed. alpha textures don't work in SL

On Zindra I was looking at the awful prim trees, and noticed that some of them have alpha textures on them. If you stand in front of one tree, and there is another tree behind it, the rear tree magically flips back and forth appearing in front of the closer tree.
This may be an old bug, I know there have been problems like this for years (but I thought they were fixed).

haven't notices, but haven't bee looking either.. as for the tree issue, yeah that's old, and it was never fixed... limitation or the draw depth algorithm in openGL... it can be partially built around (if the alpha bearing objects are centered on each other)
