Hi everyone, I've been decorating my new apartment as of late but I'm having an awful time finding good textures for my walls. I've been to (literaly) dozens of places already but am not having much luck, most of them are these big texture warehouses that may not have the best quality stuff.. I know there has to be better out there, so does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? I would really appreciate it, my walls are so ugly at the moment, hehe. Thank you all in advance

Lauren Fox's shop. (Lauren's Tiling Texture I think it is called) is where I get all my textures. Unlike some of the other places that churn out textures at break neck speed and often have flaws in the textures, she puts out quality stuff with care.

Textures R Us, have yet to be let down with the quality of textures offered. Downside is, its huge and textures are in sets, so what you want may not be readily displayed, but you can cycle though the textures in the sets. They have search kiosks as well that help with that some.

It does kind of stink that the textures come in sets though, that's been another problem I'm having considering my loft is only 2 rooms. I don't need the whole pack but I suppose if I want to decorate I'll have to cave eventually lol ![]() |

I run a free texture shop called "Lathe of Eber" in Bradmoor that you can look up - I have about 2000 odd textures, most of them build related which I've spent weeks (well, OK, months) combing through to get rid of all the junk so everything will be quality. I did it so I could organize my own texture collection for my various building projects, which you can see along the northern edge of Bradmoor north of the shop and to the east along the river (the Japanese house).
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Bradmoor/230/35/46 Hope to sell stuff there eventually as well, as soon as I finish custom modding some build-related scripts...right now its all free stuff. [Edit: have to agree on Lauren's shop - she always has the best quality and signal to noise ration of any texture shop I've been to. I've lost track of how many landmarks I've given out to the place] [2nd Edit: added slurl] |

It's nice of you to organize them, so many freebie places I have been to are compiled of junk really. I know beggars can't be choosers but ouch. Right now I don't care what it costs, I'm just desperate to find some quality textures as my walls look horrid with almost everything I've tried. |

Lauren Fox makes the best hardwood floors and her painted walls are superb.

Another vote for Lauren Fox. I discovered her shop in an unusual way. I visited a friend's new house, was awed by the textures and HAD to find out where the hardwood floor texture came from. I IMed the house's creator, who said she got all her textures from Lauren Fox's shop. It's now my first choice for textures.
Also, the best place I've found for free textures is at Harbinger's Haven. |

Can't remember the name of the shop, but check out Bob Bunderfeld's profile. He has a texture store with, IIRC, some very nice home-building textures indeed.
